Welcome to my world. An altered state of reality in which I sometimes feel as if I am the only one experiencing issues and situations that are ridiculous, funny, frustrating and thought provoking.
Aside from culture, there is no force as strong in unifying Jamaicans as sports. We found out just how much so when our national football team, the Reggae Boyz, qualified from the 1998 World Cup and the entire nation was overcome with emotions, especially as the next day was declared a public holiday.
A wise man once said “anyone can be a father but it takes an exceptional human being to be a dad”. Such is the general consensus our society shares of fatherhood that biology by itself is not the only determinant to being a great father.
